Light Lite won the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs in 1991, after being purchased by rap star M.C. Hammer for an estimated $1.2 million.  She was so successful in her run, winning by ten lengths, that many thought she could have beat the boys had she waited an extra day to race in the Kentucky Derby.  Here she is pictured with jockey Corey Nakatani as he accepts the blanket of lillies that is signatory of the Oaks.
